wow you have left this late.
ok here is a number for you to ring tomorrow (but don't be on it all day cos i am ringing tomorrow , lol.)
    02071165634
quote your claim number and ask who is dealing with your case.
then ask politely if they would like to settle out of court.
    good luck.

Makes me wonder, Justin, if everything has gone according to plan up till now?
has all correspondence been sent on time?
sounds like a silly quetion but are you absolutely sure you're in court on Monday?
could you ring court to confirm?

If everything is as it should be then I expect Barclaysicon will ring you on Friday morning. If they haven't by midday then get on the blower to them pronto, young fellow-me-lad.
    Very good luck to you.

This has happened before, a lady in an earlier thread actually turned up at court for the hearing...Barclaysicon didnt, so she won by default anyway...I wonder if its a new tactic of theirs???? to see who bottles out at the last minute.

    Hi

This is very interesting do keep us all informed. I don't think the courts will take kindly to no shows. I think the judiciary will get mighty p****ed off with having their time wasted in such a fashion! This is unreasonable behavior as detailed in the "Small Claims " book by Patricia Pearlicon and IMHO I would suggest should prompt you to ask the Judge for costs against the bank. Costs can be awarded in small claims when one party has behaved unreasonably!

Good luck and keep us posted. My MCOL goes in against Barclacard in 8 days!

A strange state of affairs! It won't do them any good to behave like that. Courts are busy enough as it is without people wasting their time. Will be in our favour.

Justin, remember when they phone: 100% settlement including court fees and interesticon, not a penny less. NO confidentiality. And you will advise court you are withdrawing once payment has hit your account and not before!

Stick to the above and you can't go far wrong. ;-)

Apologies to people who I was in the process of helping, I may be gone some time.

    hello all good helpful people,
had surprise call last evening from Barclaysicon (a v. polite guy called Dino) wanting to settle my total claim befor the hearing in Bromley court on 7th of March. however, he quoted me a lesser figure which i rejected, but was anxious to say that the heading Office must have got their figures wrong. they seemed to do this often. He promise dto get back to me as soon as he gets the right figures to settle. That was great and so relieving to see that they chose to call me out of the blue and are desperate to settle. thought i should update all who have supported me so far

Hi ... I returned the questionairre to my local court 2 weeks ago and have not had a court date as of yet ... anyone think I should ring them or does it usually take this long to get a court date? Getting a bit anxious now as no money until payday which is over 2 weeks away and we have little mouths to feed ... counting out the coppers from a draw in kitchen to hopefully have enough for a lucky dip for tonights lottery

My local court took about 8 weeks to get me a date, I rung them about 4 weeks and they said that the QA's had to go before the judge and he would then decide what track to put them on, then I got a letter saying I had to send my charges schedule to the bank, because part or thier defence is that they have not had them, infact they have had them with every correspondence from me, but I did as I was asked, included a covering lettering with the dates they had previously been sent and copied the Judge in, so that he could see, (all so so that Barclaysicon could see that the Judge would see this) then I got a date, I am suing Barclays for 4 accounts under 4 separate claims, the judge has given 2.5 hours to hear them all at the same time.

Justin, if you have signed a confidentiality clause and won, all you need to do is say something like 'my lips are sealed' at least we would know and that you stayed in all day washing your hair!!!
