Hi and welcome to the site,

You've definately taken the first step into claiming back what's rightfully yours.

Spend time reading the FAQ's and the Step by Step guide as this will stop you making mistakes along the way. Use the letters and spreadsheets in the templates libraryicon as these have all been tried and tested in successful claims. Read as many threads as you can especially ones that relate to your bank. This is a SELF HELP site and won’t do the work involved for you. However, everything you need is on here somewhere.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions, no matter how stupid they may seem, but please remember that any advice that you receive is normally based on experience only and that you should seek expert advice if required.

All the best in your claim!!

oh dear, Natwesticon have just dropped themselves in the poo poo methinks, because they cleared a cheque in record time (2 days and oh surprise surprise the day before money went into the account) the charge they levied meant that they didnt recieve my bank loan payment, have just receieved a letter stating (I quote)

"a fee of £38 has been debited from your account to cover the cost of work involved ."

I do believe that if I am the unlucky person to end up in court that gives me grounds to formally request a complete Breakdownicon of the cost involved?

the other thing that has made me chuckle is that as I havent recieved my statements yet that charge will just be added to the claim so as far as I am concerned they can charge me all they want to at the moment, my wages and all my bills go through a different Bank (interesting that I have NEVER had a charge applied to that account and my account has NEVER subsequently fallen into the red isn't it) and the only reason the Natwest account is still live is that they wont LET me close it as I am still paying off a loan to them

I think you are unlucky in a way (hic. just a thought)

I Only made a phone callicon 2 days ago - my statements are on the way - no charges t all

Thing that puzzles me, Natwesticon Customers Service have given me a ref. number which they told me to include in my letter requesting for the refund

Anyway, NW seems to have changed tactics - am just waiting to kick them sooooooooooo hard where it hurts! Take them to court

Took a break yesterday as bank profits were announced and my views would be contrary to many people's views but read the sun and you will know why, business section. coutdown has started from date of arrival, ie 1 day after being sent

I thought the 40 day timescale starts immediately the edited at Natwesticon sign and acknowledge receipt of your SARicon. If anything, get a confirmation from Royal Mail detailing 'the exact journey' of your registered SARicon letter to NW. I think there is a charge for this - am not sure.
