    Default can this be? rbs

    hi guys,new to this group but find it very interesting,i have had some horrendos charges in the past over £400 since dec just gone!! but what i want to know is if this has happened to anyone else or if it is legal,i have 2 accounts with RBSicon one for general day to day banking and one which only my mortgageicon comes out of in last couple weeks i missed aloan payment on my day to day account on looking at my other account i see that they have taken payment for the loan from my mortgageicon account without any permission or even a call or letter to say they are doing it can this be done?

    I gather it is called "off-setting", it is a grubby and unethical practise - but is probably just on the edge of being legal.
