    Default Quick Question

I have just received my statements and am working out what they owe me.

My question is this.....Using the Preliminary Letter Template, it states " I calculate that you have taken £XXXXXX from my account plus £XXXX in interesticon charges"

But the Excel spreadsheet for working out your interest states thats you should ask for the interest in your preliminary letter ??

Could someone please clear this up for me as im gagging to send the Preliminary letter.

They are two different types of interesticon. The interest in the prelim letter is interest they have charged you because their charges have made you go overdrawn. The interest in the excel spreadsheet, is the interest you are allowed to charge them by the court.

    25/06/08 - NatWest - Prelim letter
    09/03/06 - Halifax - Settled 27/4
    22/03/06 - Capital One - Settled 24/6
    17/04/06 - Nationwide - Settled 8/9

The way I understand it, you can claim both types of interest back. However, the Bank's overdrafticon interest can be applied from your first letter, but the 8% must be applied when you submit the actual claim to the SCC.

reload vs Lloyds - £2703.11 Settlement Reached 14/07/06.
reload vs Lloyds Round 2 - Prelim sent 27/03/07. £435 owed.
reload vs Capital One - £456.57 Settlement Reached 14/07/06.
    reload's mum vs Barclays - £745 owed. £375 partial settlement reached 17/10/06.
