Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Just a quick hi.... made the first step and managed to get all my statements from the last six years back from Nat West and have marked them all these awful charges bright pink. One question: obviously will try to get back the referral charges, but what about the unarranged borrow fees? They go from between £14 to £22 a month as well. Can I claim for those too?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Cerstin
hi cerstin you can claim for those charges see here for a full kist of what you can and can't claim for http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...borrowing.html
just be careful if you have an advantage gold account remember to subtract those fee's from the a/c
good luck with your claim and keep us all posted on your progress
I am not an expert at this, any advice i give is from reading posts on this site, its all in here somewhere
If i have helped please click the scales

Anybody else can't get to the spreadsheets? Signed up to the google doc and spreadsheets thing without any problem, but the link doesn't get me anywhere else...
Also, do you include the Nat West Unarranged Borrowing Fees interest Charges when you make your claim? And I wasn't going to ask for the 8% interest at first. That's right, right?:-|
Sorry, so many questions, really want to get this right....!!!
Thanks, Cerstin
Since you haven't stated whether you intend going after Contractual interest or not, I'll let Nattie or one of the more experienced members help you with that one.
Good luck with your claim.

Thanks for that Old Bear!!
Only heard about contractual interest for the first time today, so not quite sure what they are and how I can claim those!!! I think I have to spend more time on this site.... but if there is anyone out there who would like to enlighten me further?!?
Thanks so much again for taking the time to help me find those spreadsheets, I will take another look at them tomorrow and hopefully can work out how to enter my charges.
Cerstin
cerstin - have a read through the Q & A's and the step-by-step guide - you need to spend a bit of time on here doing a lot of reading, and you will soon get the gist of it.
How do you get invited to use Google doc and spreadsheets
Hi again,
been driving me crazy for hours now, but I finally worked out that someone, probably Vampiress herself will have to invite me to use her chambers ie use her spreadsheets. And I'm dying to use them!!
Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with her?
Thanks a million (or in my case a thousand and a bit....)
btw. You don't need an invite to view them when they are back up, but you will need a GMail address. If you don't have one and need a GMail invite, I can invite you if you PM me with an e-mail to send the invite to.

Re: How do you get invited to use Google doc and spreadsheets
Uh, thanks again! I'll read through that link as soon as I can OB! I'm just so thick when it comes to anything with figures and numbers.... maybe I'll just hand them over some more of my money
Will try to work out these spreadsheets again tonight.
Thanks again for your help!
Sorry, must be getting on everyones nerves now! Finally got to the spreadies, but after first wanting to claim contractual interest quickly realised I couldn't pull that one off. And I can't add the 8% APR on either, right???? So, now do I just send off a fairly simple spreadsheet listing my charges and fees with the dates and that's it?
Could someone please just say yes or no to that so that I can move one more step on?
Sorry to be so pathetic! Seems like I'm reading and reading and can't get anything in.... real blonde bimbo, don't do numbers (but promise to donate to this site if I ever get anywhere!!!!)
Oops, thanks!!! Just charges it is then!
Yes, started two or three thread already, will continue on this one from now on and let you know how it it's going with the spreadsheet. Gulp...
Thanks again for the quick reply!
You could start a new thread called Cerstin vs. Natwest, and then PM a kindly Mod and ask them to merge all your other threads in to that one.
That way, everyone will know what you've already asked and also know where you are with your claim. Easier for them, easier for you.

And, no, I'm not following you around, honest.

At the bottom of the front page of the forum you can see all the users currently online. The names in Green are Mods.
Choose one and click their name; their Profile will show.
About half way down on the right, you should see a link saying, "Send a message to [their name]" Click that and away you go.
Hope this helps.

btw. You won't get on anyone's nerves here. Everyone else here started as a new person at one time.

The easiest way (I think) to PM a mod is to find a post from a mod on a thread and then click their name or avatar. THis will bring up a page with an option to send a PM.

Not usually a good idea to pm a moderator, as there are plenty of other people on this forum that have had a vast amount of experience whom are not only well equipped to deal with your query, but are also more than happy to assist A moderator will normally only intervene when nobody else does so. They are busy people you know.
If you do not get a response straight away or indeed that doesn't truely answer your question then all you have to do is post again or meerly 'bump' a post, this way it appears at the top of list. someone is always around to help.
As you get more confident you can build up what is known as a buddy list. This enables you to add people to a list whom you deem are especially helpful 9mentioning no names, of course LOL!!). Simply click on the persons login name, the drop down menu gives you an option of adding them to your buddy list.
Hope this helps.
