    Cool Started my claim agains Barclays

    Hi ,

    I have just set off on the journey of claiming against Barclaysicon, preliminary request letter in the post.

    My claim is for £2995 (Paid referrals and Unpaids only). The nagging doubt I have is that last year (February '06) I entered into an IVA. Barclays was one of the companies involved, owing them £1410 (overdrafticon at the time). The IVA was settled and they received 55p in the £. The IVA completion was given in May '06.

    Does anybody know if I still have a legitimate claim against them ?

    It would depend on the terms of the IVA. If Barclaysicon accepted 55p/£1 as Full and finalicon settlement, and you have written evidence of that, then you shouldn't have a problem. If not, then they may be entitled to set off the 45p/£1 against what you are claiming
