Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Ive just started sending a few request for charge refunds on a few accounts, mostly credit cards which are now closed. I thought i would do the same for my a&l closed account, anyway rcvd statements and totalled the amounts and came in around £400 so i thought i would claim them back, yippeeee. Had a response from them today saying get lost oft say charges are only deemed unfair on credit cards blah blah blah. It seems that every thread i look at has had this reply from them. Well they dont realise i actually work for a bank and charges from current accounts are even higher than what credit cards were before oft gave report in april. Do you think they may make me a good offer, as in full settlement when i send them an lba and explain to them that i know it does not cost this much to send letters e.t.c. and tell them to prove it to me that it does. Well will keep you all updated, good luck everyone
