    Default can they really ?

hello everyone , i've just got off the phone with some jumped up little hitler claiming that Eggicon is not a bank and they can put charges on your account for over limit and late payments etc.... he further claimed that a letter was sent out and that the governments legislation on charges doesn't cover egg?

so can they get away with it?

any info much appreciated i'm considering action now but not quite sure how to start?

    thanks.

What he's probably referring to is that there was an extra bit in the OFT rulin gthat said because Eggicon make you use direct debiticon the threshold for intervention (NOT a legal limit or anything) could be higher for them, as in £16.

The ruling was for credit cards. There is a current investigation into banks, due to report in March this year.

Basically none of this affects claims and you shouldn't worry about continuing as normal.

I see that they changed their charges to £16 in August 06. Does this mean we cant claim this?

No, it does not mean that at all. Claim the entire charge.

Unless Eggicon tell you what their actual charges are, you may claim every penny. If they wish to counter claim for their actual costs, then it would be up to them to provide you with them.
