Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
my claim for £4000 has been ongoing for almost a year now but the court date is set for next Wednesday 31 January. I've been posting my progress but have lost the original thread!
Basically i'm not sure I've missed anything but I thought the process was Abbey would let things go as far as possible then make settlement before the court hearing! Reading the other threads it seems that might not be the case so I was wondering if anyone has actually now taken Abbey to court?
Apologies if this has been covered already but I've not seen anything about it and was kind of hoping i wouldn't have to show up next wednesday.
I have sent the court the documents I will be relying on and they have been received but an error on my part has meant I didn't send them to Abbey. I haven't had anything through from Abbey either though.
I have let things slip a bit over the last month or 2 due to other things going on and now I'm a bit worried I've blown it as I didn't use the recommended bundle on this site and I didn't send them to Abbey. I tried to ring the court earlier but it was closed so will have to wait until the morning!
