Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
How far back can you go to claim on an account that has been closed for some years. (My account was closed by Barclays due to my being 1 day late putting funds into it to cover a standing order, I was delayed abroad due to serious illness)
I think it's more like you can only request up to 6 years worth of statements. If you are a stickler and keep all your statements, people are now claiming further back under some law which I can't remember.
It is definitely around, I've read it somewhere. Have a read of Tanzarelli's thread, I know one of the guys who have been posting in there have claimed further back - think it is "Bill" or "Bong" (honest!!!).

If you remember the law or "Bill" or "Bong" please let me know, thanx davemirfin@email.com
How do I find "Tanzarelli's thread"? Sorry, I'm new to this thread/post stuff!!
You can locate people using the search. Click on search then advanced search.
In the user name box, type in Tanzarelli, Bong or Bill, click the box under username where it reads FIND POSTS BY USER and select FIND THREADS STARTED BY USER you will then have a list of threads started by these people. Tanzarellis is called Tanzarelli vs Barclaycard.
