Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and it's great to see so many success stories. Just when I think I'm defeated it seems someone elso is a success so my confidence is restalled.
I've just recieved my letter from A&L saying that I cannot claim my money (£1500) back and that all their charges are fair and just. I was just wondering if someone could point me to the correct letter to send next. I've had a look and got a bit confused, obviously I don't want to be sending the wrong letter. If anyone could help me out then that would be great.
Do not despair, this is the usual 'sod off' letter we all have received.
Go into the templates library and you will find the letter titled letter before action. This is the one you use for your next step. it gives them 14 days to pay up. of course they wont and you will have to go to file in court. This is not a biggy. A & L will lodge a defence and you will find within seven days of this happening, you will get your chque for the full amount of your claim. I hope you have complated the spread sheet because you will need to send this with your LBA and also need to have it attached to your N1 when you file in court.
Me? I have just completed my second bite at A & L pre 2000 and for charges after my first claim and hitting them for contractual interest.
Enough of us are around to guide you, so go for it.
Thanx Battleaxe, good to see someone from Cambs on here. I may have screwed up, I actually my original statements back with my first letter highlighting the charges on that so I have no record of the dates of charges, etc, etc. My own stupid fault I guess. I guess I'm back to stage one and I'll do it properly this time.
We all make mistakes, this why you are advised to read the FAQ;s. never mind, get Vampiresses spreadsheet, I think it is the third one down, you might need a google account to use these, but they are fantastic. oh the interest rate to use 17.08%. Watch the money grow as enter the figures.
There are a couple of us in this area and we are wise to wiles of this cunning bunch. You get stuck you holler.
