Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Well, I filed my claim online 13 days ago for two accounts (one of which is a staff account, lmao) and the bank still haven't acknowledged. Am I right in thinking that if they don't acknowledge then I can apply for a judgement? Mind you, knowing BofS, they'll do it tomorrow morning... Bah.
Can I ask. Are you currently a member of staff, or was it previously a staff account.
I would seriously question the sense in doing this if you value your job. Can't believe you haven't considered this before sending off your letter. Yes you may have the same rights as the next customer but when a bank is trying to show the world that it's charges are fair are they really going to allow a member of staff to take them to court over it??
I hope your charges are worth it......

I dont think there will be many if any claiming against bank whilst still working there, unless they wanted a change of career.
Well you will know what your up against khmcbey so good luck to you,
maybe as a previous employer you will be dealt with quicker, then again!
Right, different kettle of fish. Sorry, when you said "staff account" I thought you were still there. I did similar with HBOS (previous staff credit card), some satisfaction from getting that pay out since they made me redundant
Good luck McBey

Hurrah! Received a letter from the bank settling for £1568.20, the full amount!! Of course they are trying to pay a third of it into my closed-for-a-very-long-time staff account so I'll have to phone about that, but WOOO!
A+L - £950 settled in full.
Bank of Scotland - MCOL filed 9 Jan for £1500
Bank of Scotland (for parents) - £5000 settled in full October 06
Bank of Scotland (mum's account) £1900 settled in full November 06
Intelligent Finance: DPA non compliance sent 26 Jan
Thanks! I'm absolutely delighted! Phoned the bank and they've told me they'll pay by cheque as the account's closed. Big relief! The woman told me that they pay back into the original account for "interest reasons" which I gave an internal snort to, but still!
