Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I have successfully claimed my own charges back from Natwest and i am now doing my friend's from Woolwich!
I am at the stage where we filled in the MCOL on 5th Jan and it was issued on 8th Jan. there has been no response as yet.
can someone remind me - is it 7 days from issue date (8/1/07) that it is deemed to be "served" and then 14days from that date which they have to acknowledge? Which means that they have until monday 22nd Jan? correct?
and for all of you other Woolwich claimers:
1. how long does it take them to acknowledge the MCOL? do they do it on the last possible day like Natwest?
2. how far do Woolwich tend to go before they settle (with Natwest i had to fill in an aq and i had a court date and they settled 3 weeks before the court date)
My friend has claimed back £2649.20 including interest and charges!
I'll keep you all posted on how it goes - grateful for any answers to my questions!
my friend has now received her allocation questionairre - can anyone tell me what the answers are meant to be? i know it used to be posted on here when i did mine!!
