Yes, you can claim back for late payment charges
No, it should have no impact whatsoever on your credit record (late payments will, but not trying to reclaim the charges). The bank cannot register with a credit agency that you are trying/have sucessfully recovered charges, although it is likley that somewhere on your Barclarycard file there will be some that perhaps tags you as a "difficult" customer, however that is data they are unable to distribute outside of their organisation.
I am sure you already have done so, but please ensure you have read all the FAQ's and as many other threads as you can before you begin the processof reclaiming your charges.
