Claiming back charges few questions and a bit of help needed
Ok so someone told me about this and I thought I would have a go. Been having a think about what accounts etc I have had that may have had charges. Sorry if this is a bit longwinded. So far have come up with :
2 accounts with Capital 1, (1 visa and 1 mastercard) both still open
1 with Natwest closed
2 with Lloyds TSB. both closed
1 with Halifax - this is my main account that is still in use.
Is it best to tackle one at a time or should I try and do them all at the same time?
With regards to the Lloyds TSB & Natwest accounts these were settled and closed a few years ago I no longer have anything with any account numbers on. Can I send the SAR's without an account number? Or is there a way of obtaining it I was thinking maybe by getting a copy of my credit report from experian/equifax etc.
With regards to the Halifax account this is still my main bank account I recently tried to open a new account elsewhere but was turned down my credit rating is pretty dire. So I was wondering if it is best to maybe forget this one as I don't remember incurring that many charges on it so maybe not worth it.
Finally what kind of success have people had with the above organisations were any of them particularly difficult to get the charges back from.
Thanks for your help, answers and comments in advance.
