I know that in the 1980s I suffered penalty charges imposed by Barclaycard- £5 a time I believe.

When I reapplied for a Barclaycard in 1999 I got an automated letter saying "Welcome back, noomill!" so they must still have record of my previous dealinds with them and presumably my statements on microfish available for £3 a sheet.

Ive calculated that, for example, a £5 charge with 19.9% compounded interesticon from say, April Fools day 1986, as of todays date will now be £321.97.

I wonder.....
