    Thanks! Luckily I have all my bank statements filed, so I can go straight to the initial letter. Feeling nervous, but also feeling good about the fact that I am taking some action and no longer living in total denial.

    Great news! I got a reply to my prelim letter to Natwesticon today, offering to settle for the full amount. Standard letter explaining that they don't believe the charges are unfair etc etc, but offering the full amount as a goodwill gestureicon. Just over £2000, so I am really really happy with that.

    Thanks for all the advice and support from the forum. I will be back to make a donationicon when the money has arrived.

    I wonder what's going on at Natwesticon; they seem to be settling a lot of claims after the first letter, and quite right, too.

    You should PM a Mod and ask them to move your thread to the success section.
