    Default SAR advice required

    Hi all,

I sent a SARicon to A&L and 40 days is up on Sunday (I have not received any statements). I wouldn't mind but they cashed my £10 cheque on 21st December! When I call A&L they say that I can't speak to the department who deals with the SARicon's. From reading other threads I understand that A&L take their time and try to drag things out.

The two accounts I will be claiming from were actually closed about 4 years ago so I have no charges to go on to make a guess at the charges they owe me.

My questions are: can I report them to the information commissioner? will this help in getting my statements through?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there

Be patient! If they cashed your cheque on the 21st december, then they're still on day 27 and if they tend to drag it to the 40 days, I would sit tight and wait an ickle bit longer. Unless you sent it recorded and can prove the day they received it???

    Hope this helps
