Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
can anyone help me. i have an old barclay card bill that i have been trying to clear forever. my original credit limit was £500 but with all the charges etc that were added the bill was nearly £1000. now i have brought the bill with the debt collectors down to £360 but am i right in believing that i may be able to get that cleared under the new rules. as it was defaulted due to their charges etc.
If you think you have been charged unfair fees etc, then send a Subject access request for a list of charges or statements. The letter template is in the library section. Don't forget to send £10. Once you get the statements work out how much charges have been added. That should keep you busy for a while. Any problems just come back on here, I am sure somebody will be able to help! Also have a read through some threads. In particular in the Barclaycard section.
