    Question Unknown Account Numbers

What would I put in the DPA letter if I don't know the account numbers? I used to be really really bad at keeping paperwork and the only reason I know I had something with BOSicon is because I have just been reading my credit report.

    Thanks

    Default Re: Unknown Account Numbers

    Hi,

If the credit report does not make mention of your account details, and you cannot remember them, then you will need to include all relevant details to help the bank identify your account and demonstrate that you are the authorised person.

This may well entail a visit to your local branch, with something like a driving licence and proof of address changes. They will take certified copies, which you will be able to send with your application.

Whilst they have 40 days to comply, there may be a delay whilst they identify you, so it is a case of 'reminding' them a lot after about a week has passed.

    Good luck.
