    Default Miscalculated claim!!!

I have just photo-copied statements to send to the court and to Abbeyicon, but on adding them up I have found that I am £3 out.

When Abbey made their GOGW payments they refunded 3 lots @ £35 and one @ £32 totalling £137 Not realising when Abbey put up their charges I have calculated it as two @ £35, two @ £32, and £3 off my fifth last charge totalling the same £137.

This means that they owe me £3 more.

As the sums now don't add up excactly what should I do?

They have already made an offer, so I'm almost at the point of full settlement, and don't want to give them the opportunity to delay matters any longer.

Any help would be most appreciated...

    Steve....

I'm no expert but I would just ignore it. It's not worth worrying about £3.

Stormbird, even if it was accurate to the nearest penny, the most likely outcome is a negotiation over the phone the day before your Court date because they don't want to set foot in Court. Don't worry about £3 now. In any case, by then it won't be £3, it'll be more because the interesticon keeps on going until they stop pratting around. Regards, Mad Nick

Thanks to both of you....I wasn't concerned about the £3, just that they might try something because the amount I'm claiming doesn't tally with the actual amount....

Thanks again...I'll just send the paperwork off and wait for a Court date..

I wouldn't put it past them to try to stall things if the miscalculation was in their favour, but the fact that it's an extra £3 that they owe you should mean they'll ignore it too!
