Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hi, new to this so any help is gratefully received..
I have all my statements and totall charges are 310.00 so i wrote to Nationwide on 12 dec asking to have it all repaid. Got a letter back saying that all there charges are open and transparent and NO i cant have my money back and if i dont like it i can bank elsewhere!!!!
Well NO i dont like it, but my student loan goes in there on 22nd of this month, so do i wait till after then to send my lba in case they close it 1st or do i just send it????\
Will be nice to see exactly how clear and transparent their charges are in court???
U should be OK to stick to your original timescales, as a Bank usually has to give 30 days notice according to the Banks' own Code of Practice. Nationwide in particular, have tended to give notice of closing accounts AFTER they have paid out Claims.
To do so beforehand, and especially before it could be mentioned in Court that they had done so, would be taken as an act of Retaliation by them whilst the account was in dispute.
They would then be in SERIOUS trouble if they were reported to the relevent Bank Governing Bodies for doing so!
