I received a parking ticket in a shopping centre car park two days ago.
I was half an hour late back, but when I paid for the ticket I didnt have any change so put in £2 when it should only have been £1.60 for two hours. £2.00 paid is clearly marked on the ticket. Therefore I have actually paid for extra time havent I? Also the charge notice was not attached to the winscreen, it was not even in a sticky pouch, and was just slotted in where the windscreen wipers are. I did not even notice this charge until the next day, I had previously driven about 5 miles home when this charge could have just blown away. Can anyone let me know if I have a leg to stand on appealing against this?
