Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I am currently in the middle of my claim, I am asking advice for my brother.
He has been with the Alliance and Leicester since 1993, subsequently he uses his account a lot, has a decent overdraft limit etc.
He would like to find out the amount he might be able to claim for but he doesn't want them to close his account just for asking aout the amount. i.e. if its elow £1000 he doesn't think its worth getting a new bank account and aranging a new overdraft etc.
So, will they close the account or maybe treat him differently to what they might have done after receiving the initial letter asking for statements?
