Right well I have set the ball rolling, I have sent the DPA letter today.
Fingers crossed and I will keep you all posted!

I initially requested the last 6 years of statements via online banking and got a response today, saying it would take longer as the information I requested was no longer on thier system, I presume they mean microfiche?
Anyways, the DPA letter should have hit them today, so, do I ignore the letter from Bradford or should i wait for a response from Milton Keynes (where I sent the DPA letter to) before sending the Microfiche letter?
Andy

An update for you, having received absolutely no responce whatsoever to my DPA request, I sent a chaser to the MK address last week (30 May) -
I am writing to you as I have as yet had no response or acknowledgement to my request made in writing on 29 April 2006 (copy enclosed) along with the appropriate payment of £10.00p.
My request was for a complete list of transactions and charges relating to my account since 01/01/2000 – in short, a list of charges with dates and amounts – alternatively, a complete set of account statements for that period will be acceptable. This should be retrievable from your accounting systems, and easy for you to produce. I will accept a computer print out of these transactions.
I am aware that you have been willing and able to provide other customers with a print-out of transaction information covering this period – and am ready to bring this to the attention of the Information Commissioner should it prove necessary. I would also draw your attention to Smith v Lloyds TSB Bank plc (2005) EWHC 246 (Ch).
This letter has been sent by first class recorded delivery, and therefore should have reached you by 31/05/2006 – as you will be aware, as of this date you have just 10 days in which to comply with my request. As stated above, a complete set of account statements for the period in question will be acceptable; however, I expect this to be provided within the time period for DPA compliance.
Should there be any further attempts to delay compliance, I will be left with no alternative but to commence a county court action under section 7, and section 15(2) of the Data Protection Act 1998, and in due course, escalate this matter into an official complaint to the Information Commissioner and the FSA.

Which as you will see is a bit of a copy n paste of the microfiche letter.
Today I have received a letter dated 1 June from Pam Speed in Bradford acknowledging my original DPA request which goes on to explain about the microfiche issue and offers to use my £10 DPA fee to recover the records on microfiche.
My question is this, should I fire off another microfiche letter to Pam Speed in Bradford or hang fire as I have already addressed that issue in my chaser to Milton Keynes and proceed with an estimated amount when the DPA limit expires on 10 June?
From the data I have from online banking my estimated amount would be roughly £4761.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
