Default Statements - internet request -how long?

I requested my statement online and received a letter saying I would have them in seven days. Still waiting. Have emailed customer service to be told that due to unprecedented demand a delay is possible and will be with me in two to three weeks. I sent off my DPA letter and £10 last week just to be on the safe side.

Just wondered if anyone else had requested their statements online, and if so how long did it take to get them?

Unless a DPA request is properly in place (fee sent and recorded delivery) it is extremely unlikely that Abbeyicon will send out any statements for the foreseeable future - apart from those covering the last 12-14 months.

Abbey seem to be struggling to keep up with requests, and I would expect that they are prioritising the DPA requests since these are the ones that could come back and bite them.

Although I sent my DPA request and am still waiting response, I also have obtained the last 14 months of statements via the Abbeyicon website. It took about a month.

I have calculated the charges i wish to claim for within the 14 months. But should i wait till Abbey pull their finger out with my DPA request? Or can i claim for this 14 months and the rest later?

The problem with doing that is you would have to then wait until your first action goes through the court process.

If you issue another action, you could find the first one gets delayed whilst Abbeyicon apply to have the actions joined together.
