A and L will let you file, they will then write to the court and say they are going to defend. They wont. You will get your cheques about a week after this notification from the court.

Then they will write and tell you that they closing your account. Hope you have your parachute accounticon open

There is a link in the Template library for the mcol claim . If I were you, I would read up on how to word the claim so you get it right the first time and remember you ar the Claimant, A & L is the Defendant. Don't end up suing yourself. Once you have filed, the courts take over, they will send everything to A & L and then notify you. You stick to the Court's timelines.

I did my claim manually, so really can't tell you the exact process of filing on line. Someone else might be able to comment on this.

    Question Re: ht v al

    hi,
just 1 question, how r the charges paid back, as I no longer have the account with a&l, it was passed on to a debt collectionicon team, and I still owe around £110, on that account which was the charges I am claiming for, if/ when they pay up do they clear that outstanding debt then send me the change for the rest as the total claim is for £175.00 or do they just send me a cheque for the full amount and I pay it off?? the only reason I need to know is so I can be fair to my other creditors as I am planning to go bankrupt and cannot give a creditor preferencial treatment.
    thanks h

HelenM, my charges were paid back by cheque. I am assuming my second claiom against A & L will be paid the same way.

    hi,
Im a bit late in my timetable for my mcol, been in hospital, but before I send it I want to check I've done everything correct, I have sent a prelim and a lbaicon, times up and I've had the standard replys, been filling in my mcol on line and just want to check which bank address I use as it gives u many options, also do I need to send the courts a copy of my schedual of charges with the 8% intrest added on, if so how do I do this as I cant seem to find a way to link it online, is there an address to send it too, and if so does any one know it? and do I need to send this new schedual to the banks as I have not sent them the new one with the intrest yet.... is this correct?? any advice before I take the last step?? scared!! thanks
    H

Use the Leicester bank address on your mcol as the postcode on the bootle one will not be recognised!

As for the schedule of charges, I posted mine as some said it was necessary some said it was not but I figured it couldnt hurt & id rather send it and it not be needed than mess up my claim by not sending it! Addy is

    Northampton county courticon
    21-27 St Katherine's Street
    Northampton
    NN1 2LH

I dont think you need to send it to the bank as they can get it from court.

hi, Ive just recived a letter from Barclaysicon whom im also claiming from saying they will offer 360 on a 780 claim, but they will just take it of my debt of 1000, i also owe a and l 120, my claim is 4 175, if they just use the money towards my debt theres no reason persuing it as im going bankrupt soo and this would mean i would effectivley be paying the mcol charges of 30 and 80 for nothing so my query is if i go to court would i recive the money or would it just go back to the banks? i need 2 know as im just about 2 pay the mcol, but if the banks will keep the money then i shall pay my other bills instead, help
