Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I don't think anyone has challenged Cahoot yet, but if anyone has please let me know how it went!
I have been charged £80 in the last 12 months for unathorised OD charges (where the money has been paid in the same day I was overdrawn and the OD amount was less than £5) and £25 for a returned item charge. I have requested statements going back to when I opened the account (less than 6yrs) and am waiting to hear back. I plan on making a claim as soon as I can check the total amount. If they refuse my statement request I will complain about this as well.

I've recieved an email from Cahoot advising me that they will refund the last charge placed on my account £30 for being over for less than one day by less than £10 and being warned by email!), however I am not to assume this in any way means the charge was unfair or that I can get away with this again!!!
I'm submitting a request for all my old statements, and then will be taking it further...
