Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Just wondered if anyone could offer any advice on the following -
I recently got a parking ticket in a multi-storey. I was 20 minutes late back to the car. The ticket said £30 if paid within 14 days or £60 if paid after that. I paid the £30 but I paid about 2 days late. Anyway they are now saying I owe them the other £30 plus another £30 making the whole thing £90 altogether. I have written to them, saying I am a single mum on benefits, etc, but it cut no ice. Is there any way I can get out of paying a further £60 when I have already paid the original £30?
