Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
It was a stupid idea to play dumb in order to keep my case in small claims. I've asked for the 8% interest in the POC, but have deliberately miscalculated on the schedule of charges. So the claim is asking for statutory interest on a correct sum but showing an incorrect amount of interest. (Correct total of charges and just added a blanket 8% on the entire sum rather than per charge, which BTW would add around £900.)
I'm wondering if it will automatically be calculated correctly by the courts or do I need to update the claim ASAP? I've received the defence and am putting together my response. Should I send the actual updated schedule or the original silly as a fool schedule?
OK OK OK OK OK I KNOW it was silly. Any advice highly regarded.
I realise I have a thread already, but it's just kinda sitting there at the minute. I'm hoping this will jump start an quick response.
