Default Hello. Me v Ulster Bank

Hi Folks, just want to say hello to all.
Lots of good advice on here.

Ulster bank have taken several hundred pounds in charges from my account over the past year, I sent in my first letter on Monday asking for all my account transactions. I'll keep you posted on how I get on.

Has anyone taken on banks in the Republic of Ireland?

Ulster Bank told me that they only keep their records for 6 months, they then transfer them to microfilm after the 6 months, to get these records they 'charge' £7 pounds per sheet if you dont keep your statements.

I posted the SARicon letter on 15 Oct 06, registered and with ten pounds postal order inside, I got a reply from the manager on Oct 18th saying that 'the Group Regulatory Risk Unit will forward the statement details you have requested' and that ' I hope you understand that the production of these statements will take a little time, however we will of course be complying within the period allowed under Data Protection legislation'

As things develope I'll post on here.

Hi I am new here but have kicked off proceedings against Ulster Bank amongst others. I have just recieved a reply to my initial Subject Access letter stating that a complete list of transactions and charges copy bank statements will be sent for a fee of £10. No mention of microfiche or £7 per statement. Your joint a/c inquiry would need to have your ex's signatureicon on it in order for them to release the information.
