Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Finally getting round to separate each claim to the proper thread as advised by Thomper. (thanks for advice Thomper, much appreciated).
S.A.R. posted off to Egg on 06/11/06, acknowledged by EGG on 10/11/06 but also asking for I.D. confirmation. I did so by Secure Messaging as per EGG website and got into email after email with them over this. Having read MCUTH's thread in relation to EGG, I declined to send them confirmation as Secure Messaging was their way of same. Eventually I received a letter stating that file was closed due to non-cooperation, so I back-dated my response letter and included confirmation of ID.
I sent ID confirmation on 03/12/06, my original request was dated 30/10/06, can anyone tell me if this is a stall tactic and advise me on what to do next?
Oh, I forgot to mention that they acknowledged my ID letter and that they will have my SAR replied to within the next 40 days.
Any advice please would be greatly appreciated.
Closed due to non coorporation, is this for a closed account and have you changed your address since you closed it, if not then remind them that the address was good enough for them to send previous correspondance so it should be good enough to send again and advise them you will make a complaint to the information commissioner for their non-compliance, if you have changed address then they are being responsible in asking for proof of identity as you wouldnt want anyone getting your details but they are in my view being obstructive to your request if you have provided the info, again threaten them with a complaint if this isnt dealt with asap.
Sorry for the delay folks, i have quite abit on at the moment, however, i think Egg is stalling as my account is not closed and nor did I move address at any time.
Egg acknowledged my ID, returned it with a letter stating that they will get my info returned to me within the next 40 days.
Is this a stall tactic or what and what kind of action can I take in the meantime. Have i got a case at this point to send a complaint to the commission office for their lack of help/stalling tactics?
any advice is most welcome.
ps, I forgot to mention that I posted my ID verification letter on 03/12/06 and the reply from Egg was dated 21/12/06 and I received it on 23/12/06.
What is my next course of action?
