Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I've just started my claim against Egg. I have already sent my initial letter and had a response pretty much to the tune of if you proceed with this claim we will close your account with us.
Now, to an extent this is fine as when I wisened up to my debts I moved my Eggcard debt onto a lower interst rate Egg loan. I am concerned that this threat will include my loan with them. Anyone any ideas?
If so I think I've hit a brick wall concerning reclaiming from Egg as I cannot afford to repay a £6000 loan...................
but if it just means my card then full steam ahead.
You are right to be concerned. Egg may threaten to call in your loan. Maximum caution is advised
My advice would be to consolidate this loan with another company - of course this only works if you have ok credit to do this. Pay off the egg loan with money from the other loan, then start a claim against them. Either that or bide your time until the loan is paid off (bear in mind the 6 year limit though).

Damn - this is what I suspected. Unfortunately, as I have other loans etc that I'm in the process of paying off, I don't think I'd be able to borrow more in order to get rid of the Egg loan. They've got me.
At least it was only £180 that I could have claimed so it's not too significant.
