Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Declined to refund i assume they replied then, if so start legal proceedings against them, try reading up on posts to know what you need to do next, if you have been settled before somewhere else then you should know the script, good luck.
Are you in Scotland, if so you could start a small claims action against them (cost £39) limit of £750, if you are owed more then split claim into several actions remembering only to have one claim running at any time.
You would need form 1 and 1b available from the courts or from the courts websites to download attach a schedule of charges that you intend to claim and hand it in to your local court, if its in England then you have a limit of £5000, big difference there.
Hi
I am currently at the litigation stage. It seems A&L are taking these to the limit. Don't be put off..... This is what has to be done. They hope that you will give in after you receive their standard ' get knotted letter' or panic at the court stage.
So, a little bit of re-assurance for you....... those are standard response letters, remember.... it's your money they have taken and it's YOU that's been through the mill due to their greedy actions.
Just follow the excellent advice on this website andd take heart from others.
All the best and good luck
