First, read the FAQ'a and step by step guide. A few times.
Then read around the site as much as you can, especially the forums relevant to you (your bank, circumstances etc). When you are armed with knowledge, and ready to begin action, start a thread in your banks forum and keep it updated. Post any questions there too. You will get loads of help and support here.
