Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
About to start reclaiming charges on my sole account with First Direct and a joint account I hold with my wife. Should I pursue these as two separate claims (i.e. two SAR letters + 2 * £10 fee) or can it be a single claim?
It is £10 for ALL information they hold on your account. I would ask for S.A.R on both accounts at the same time. Be careful when you add up the charges when you receive your statements, as you need to keep your claim below £5000 for small track allocation, if it gets that far.If it goes over that then you can split your claims.
