Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
i need to ammend my claim to include a further £245 charges we have incurred i the last two months since i issued the N1. i have found the downloadable N244 to fill in and understand that there is a non-refundable fee of £35 to apply to have the original case ammended, my question is is there a guide anywhere to completing it? i have no idea what type of order i have to attach or how to go about it. that said even with the fee the £245 is mine and i want it back. we have our mortgage with woolwich so i dont really want to conclude this case ( currently we have both filed aq and im waiting to hear form the judge re a hearing date) and then sue again as they will probably close our account and we wanted to continue there. ( we have a parachute acct but want to stay with woolwich) anyone ammended a claim and got any tips? im drowing here!
also i have asked this outside my original thread cos it looks like mor eand more people are getting dragged to hearings ( esp with woolwich/Barclays) and it stands to reason i will not be the only one who needs this info. TIA.

I understand that you need the money quickly, but The Woolwich/Barclays are one of the slowest of all the banks. I can vouch for that, I filed my claim with The Woolwich on 29th June and still have not been paid. My advice would be to let the claim run as it is and then start another when this is concluded.
Basically the amended parts need to be entered in RED ink
if you have numbered paragraphs in your original particulars you can just type out those paragraphs to be amended, in part C, and attach your new schedule of charges.
It will hold up your claim, and you really need to have the agreement of the defendant before proceeding
an agreed amendment is £35 a unagreed one is £65 fee
my problem is that i want to keep banking with them when i am done suing them so dont really want to issue another claim against them later on or they will probably take out account away ( we do have a parachute account but have our morgtage with woolwich on a 3 year tie in so want to keep banking there)
karne, do i write out a new N1 to send in with it then? it is really not clear on the post with the downloadable form im all confused. basically the part that says "the attached order" my problem is which order? i am simply adjusting the amount by £245 so no major differences. TIA.

oooh also we have to include a copy of the original N1 with ammendments marked in red ( according to the court clerk i spoke ot on the phone) along with the revised schedule of charges.
