Can you claim bank charges even if you've defaulted on a couple of payments?
I've just been explaining this process about claiming back bank charges to my brother as I received an offer on mine last week. He is in such a mess with credit cards, loans and overdrafts etc. He has defaulted on a couple of them, he's tried phoning them and asking them to sort out a payment plan but they won't accept it but part of the reason he is in the mess that he's in is because of the charges that have been applied to his accounts.
On one occasion his credit limit was £4500, his balance was £4450 but because of the charges applied to his account it sent him about £15 over his credit limit so they added an extra charge on for this.
I honestly don't know what he's going to do about it but I just wanted to check whether he would still be okay going through this process even though he's missed a couple of payments.

Hi - your brother is perfedtly ok to claim his charges back even though he has defaulted. He needs to work out how much he has to reclaim and what effect this wil lhave on hid total debt and then work out a budget on what he owes and if he cannot afford minimum repayments write to his creditors offering them pro rata payments wit hhis monthly surplus.
