    Default worth claiming

hi i sent my SARicon on the 12 september. they wrote back with a couple of statements and the microfiche argument so i forgot about it. after having a look round ive seen this could be a get out for them that people are trying to get round. My question is if i have to start again it may not be worth doing as i my account has been closed for a few years but can i still calculate charges 6 yearsicon from september and what letter would i need to send?

    Hi Jody
Ive had a similar thing (my account is still running)sent my original SARicon letter back in june, and got the same microfiche argument as you.
I wrote to them again last week and said the clock is now ticking and Barclaysicon obligation to forfill the request still stands (i gave them 14 days to send outstanding statements) they wrote back and said we will send statements within 28 days (of the date of my letter) which although i would like them sooner is probably resonable.

The ICO have now stated that the microfiche data is covered by the DPA and that your SARicon is applicable. Writew to them mentioning this and they should send the data. If they don't then report them to the ICO.

Your claim is valid for 6 years from the date of starting it. So if you sent the SAR 3 months ago consider that as the starting date and go back 6 years.
