Hi, i was made an offer by Yorkshire Bank for everything except interest which i accepted. Seems this is not the end of it, actually getting hold of the cheque is imposible. I did not sign the discontinuation of court proceedings form and have no intention of doing so until the cash is in my account. I have just been reading the settled section and it seems once people have recieved their offers (and accepted) the thread has gone into the settled part, but then the cheque never comes. Has anybody actually had any hard cash ?
And i thought Barclays were bad, Yorkshire really are the worst.
Yes it seems to be the norm,Settle then omit to send the funds or drag it out as long as possible.I think it is time to threaten them with some bad publicity, such as writing to the sunday papers financial columns.that way the whole world can see for themselves, how much this bank can be trusted. After all if you were looking for bankers, would you entrust your your money to an institution who behaves in this way towards its customers?
I think you will get your money in time. I tend not to change titles to won until people have hard cash, and as far as I know there aren't any threads in the YB successes forum where people don't have money. You will get it, but whether you send the discontinuance notice or not, they take there own time about it. It's there last chance to make you wait.
Don't forget the case is still on going so you still have the upper hand. I wouldn't be too surprised if it is after Christmas though, although I hope I'm wrong.
When the Liberals and Conservatives were in opposition they both agreed that banks should pay back high bank charges to customers. Nothing seems to of happened since they came into power as a coalition. PPI insurance has been sorted now they should turn their attention to bank charges and help customers get exorbitant charges refunded.

There is definatly some in there what dont have their money. You advised one of them today to ring up and remind them that the court case is still ongoing, i think it was rascal 3103. Peterbard still did not have his cheque yesterday. These people all settled ages ago, how can they do this, why dont the courts just make them pay and get it over with. I said i would settle for the amount without interest as i thought it was fair but whats fair about the Yorkshire Bank. We have accepted the settlement so why not pay us. I dont care if it is before christmas really but we have given them the chance to settle if they dont do it very soon why should we accept their offer, we are entitled to the 8% after all.
