Exclamation Have I made an unrectifiable mistake?

Having received my statements through the post and duly calculated how much I was claiming back from the bank, I handed in my request letter yesterday only to realise that I have asked for 6 yearsicon worth of money as opposed to 5 years. Should I now ask them to cancel this letter and submit one for 5 years worth of charges or wait to hear back from them and see what they say?

    P.S I live in Scotland

    Suggestions welcomed.

I'd wait and see. If they pay up, fantastic! If not, you'll be able to amend your statement of claim to 5 years without having to reserve the action.

Virtually NOTHING is unrectifiable! Either you can amend it (as here, if it becomes necessary) or re raise your action.
