Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Hey all. Today is the day I commence battle on RBS. Any advice and tips will be very welcome.
Hello and welcome, my best advice is to spend a few days reading teh FAQS and step by step instructons. This will give you a good knowledge of what to expect. Also read a few threads in the RBS forum.
In the FAQs is a step by step guide on what to do from start to finish. At the top of the RBS forum is a sticky that lists the addresses to contact RBS with.
Best advice is TAKE YOUR TIME. Read read and read until you are fully confident you know what you're doing. Making errors could prove costly!
Any problems, lay them out in your post and someone should be able to help.
Good luck!

I have just had a result from them, so just keep your nerve, persist and be prepared for prevarication, patronisation and fob offs, if you get the ubiquitous Tommy McLean, just tell him, that many claims are being settled, and his name has been seen as authorising them!
What you have to remember right now is that due to increased press and as a result an increase in the numbers of people doing this, they are probably struggling to deal with everyone on time. Added to that the christmas period, it will be taking a while right now. It can be disheartening at times, but allowing a little leeway to your deadlines helps keep things going. I gave HBOS an extra 7 days on my lba after they missed the first deadline and sure enough a cheque was in the post.
Don't panic too much and remember the christmas post is going to be a big factor. If you're not happy with the lack of response, send a reminder letter but don't give up!!! You WILL get your money back.

If you want a bit of a gee up, have a read through the post in my sig RBS Curren Account1. Will give you an idea of the procedure from start to finish and how long the whole thing takes.
Keep your chin up!
