My current situation is, I got my bank statements, Sent my letter off, got a reply 17 days later saying 'we're still waiting for a copy of your bank statements' which I think is a load of rubbish.
Anyway I sent my second letter and now I have to just wait until December 22nd to submit my claim. Do I have to wait 28 days or 28 working days?
Just read your post and I'm having problems making sense of what stage your at - can you give a bit more detail? What letters are you referring to when you say your first & second letters? When you say the bank has said
'we're still waiting for a copy of your bank statements'
what have they ACTUALLY said because to me, if this is exactly what they wrote, it doesn't make sense. Finally, not sure which letter you are waiting 28 days for, but whatever letter it is, it would be calendar days.
If you can be a bit more detailed in your account of what is going on, it will help others to help you

Sorry, the stage i'm at is that i'm submitting my court claim in 10 days. They sent me a letter 16 odd days after i first ever contacted them saying 'we're still waiting for head office to send us some bank statements'. Surely they could look on a computer.
Right, understand now. Stalling tactics! Keep to your deadlines. Stick to your schedule, work in calendar days and once they have passed your deadline start on the next stage.
Your first contact with them was I presume the Preliminary letter? So your second letter is I'm guessing your letter before action. Hopefully you should get a positive response shortly. Both of my accounts were settled in full during the 14 day schedule of my LBA.
