Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
Sent my Prelim letter off which was received on the 11th Dec.

Re: Kim V Woolwich
Hello and Welcome
Congratulations for posting in the correct forum, here you will have other “experts” who know how that particular this bank reacts.
I have just finished my claim with this bank, but I decided to stick around to see if I help others like you who are just starting out with their claim to see if I can share anything to make your journey through this claim a bit better!!!
Remember the banks have acted unlawful you haven’t!!!
Well done for reading the FAQs and continue to read as many threads as possible as there is a wealth of information on here!!
Before you begin, make sure you start your own thread in the bank forum you are claiming against. As you have already posted this one, I assume you already know how to do that!
Remember you can claim back for the past six years, including closed accounts, mortgage, credit cards, car finance, loan accounts and even accounts that are with debt collection Agencies and bailiffs!!!!
Remember its important to open a parachute account, especially if the charges are spiralling out of control and you have little or no money left, at the end of each month.
If you get stuck have a look (by searching) to see if your question has already been asked by reading other people threads, if you are still not sure either post your question in your own thread or PM me to attract my attention and I will be happy to help you by answering on your thread.
Also look for another newbie claiming against the same bank as you, that way you can do your claim together and support each other as the post drops through the door!!
Sometimes the banks act awfully and you can get very stressed out by it all. But stick to your guns - you are in the right - they are not. Don’t let them put you off, that’s what they want to do!
Hope this helps
Good Luck

I havn't sent off my lba yet as I've received a letter from Barclays offering to settle half of charges, I'm not accepting it, but now who do I send the LBA to? Woolwich, Barclays or both?
Hello all, filled in my moneyclaim form, delayed it as much as pos as they were still taking money from my overdrawn account! Today I received the Notice of Issue letter, scary stuff!
Should I sent another letter to the Woolwich stating the new amount owed?? If so any ideas what to include??
Cheers
Just wait for them to file an Acknowledgement of Service (they have 14 days to do so and they will file on the 13th day)This then gives them 28 days to file a defence and they will probably file anything up to a week late)
You will then receive a Transfer of Proceedings to your local court and you will have to complete the Allocation Questionaire that they send you and send it with your fee to your court.
A judge will then look at the case and allocate to small claims track (if it is) and then give you a court date.
This is where I am now!!!
I am now talking to Barclays and hoping for a settlement before going ahead and preparing my court bundle.
Hope this all makes sense and helps you!!
Good Luck!!
