Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I've just embarked on my efforts to get some cash back from the A+L, who took over Girobank.
I closed my account with them 2 years ago for a different reason. I've now asked for all my records dating back six years so at least we'll have four years charges.
Will be interested to see whether they enter a defence of the real costs which Citibank has done in Northern Ireland or whether the BBC program tonight 12/12/06 showing a £4.50 maximum will do the trick.
What's even more galling is that as well as the £25-£30 charge, I was charged in addition £3.50 per day + interest
