Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
I am eventually getting round to filing MCOL against RBOS because over 4 weeks ago they promised us a cheque, but the last twice we have phoned they said there was no record of the account number.
Both letters have been sent to the Inverness branch as that is where the account was opened. However, they are no longer dealing with this claim, they say it has been passed to a higher area to deal with.
Should I use the Head Office address as stated in the stickys.
The account is now closed. It was a student account, there was no interest applied to it. So I am just claiming the actual charges and S69 interest. Also, both claims so far that I have dealt with have been with English banks, this one is a Scottish Bank but we live in an English address. That's why I am a bit confused about the layout of the spreadsheet and also where to file as the Defendants address.
Thanks
I actually found some help from a link directing me to Govan Law Centre, which is the website I was using before I found this one!
I went back there and I found that I can file as using MCOL because we live in England. Apparently Royal Bank do have a head office address in London but I searched the net and I couldn't find it - mind you it was late and I'd had couple of wind down drinks after a hectic day with the kids!!
