    Default office of fair trading

Hi All, Im new to the site, looking forward to meeting you. Does anyone know about whether banks can refuse to pay bank charges because the office of fair trading says its ok to charge. Apparantly the oft says credit card payments are unfair but not bank charges, any ideas?

Plenty of ideas, and even better, plenty of answers.

    Welcome.

If you read the FAQs and step-by-step, then take a couple of days to browse the forums (maybe concentrating on the bank you're going after), you'll understand why you can indeed reclaim your bank charges. You may also want to read the OFT statement and find out it does NOT say that at all, quite the reverse.

It's a lot ot take in, so take your time. The banks are not going to go bankrupt any time soon, your money is safe. ;-)

Apologies to people who I was in the process of helping, I may be gone some time.
