Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
One of my debts is with Moorcroft, I contacted them this week, and agreed a payment plan, all well- BUT, I get paid on the 28th December, have done xmas shopping and have £2 left! Moorcroft said my account was on their Home Collections List, but would now be taken off, however I would have to make a token payment of £10 by the 12/12/06, which i agreed to, in the hope that I could perhaps borrow the money off family. I can't, and Moorcroft have simply said, If I dont make the token Payment, I will be back on the home collection list, and will have defaulted- I haven't signed anything, I live with parents, have nothing, what happens now?
Hi I would suggest contacting cccs and they can keep them off your back. Friendly and helpful. Once they are on your side just mention their name and everyone seems to back down.
