Not sent SAR as got all statements but sent Prelimary approach for repayment
Hi was wondering if anyone could shed some light? Sent away prelimary approach for repayment to BofS a week past Friday and they got back to me saying they would get in contact within 4 weeks. However i didn't send off the SAR in the first place. Is this vital for threatening of court action or can I sent the next letter anyway?

S.A.R - (Subject access request) is handy because part of the request is for disclosure of any manual interventions. They never give you them but it forms part of your case that you have continually asked for it but not been given the information...
That said I don't think it will have a dramatic effect on your claim.
Oh and don't let them dictate the timeline...prelim gives them 14 days to reply not 4 weeks.
