Written by John Kruse, one of the leading experts on Bailiff Law, this consumer friendly guide is essential reading for anyone who comes into contact with a bailiff.
The book is easy to understand and clearly explains the rights
a bailiff has, and also what they cannot do when collecting debts and repossessing goods etc.
My Mam phoned me to ask if I knew anything about Registering a Mobility Scooter/Vehicle?
From what she told me, which does have me confused (yeah I know don’t take much) If you buy a Mobility Scooter/Vehicle You have to register it with the DVLA or you could be fined if you are stop by the Police. This does have my Mam really worried, as my Dad needs his Mobility Scooter/Vehicle. To get him around the small village where they live. He has had his Mobility Scooter/Vehicle. For nearly 4 years.
They do not claim any benefits as they both worked all their lives, so they have their own pensions etc. If anyone can shed a bit of light on this for me, I would be grateful, I just want to make sure that my Dad will be ok & to help stop my Mam from worrying
Have you looked on the DVLA website?
Maybe give your local office a call, Their numbers are on the website.
Do they drive it on the road, as most traffic laws are based on 'self propelled vehicle' which this would fall under that catagory.
I know my Mam read about this in the Sunday Mail, which I dont read, so if anyone has this newspaper & wouldnt mind, having a look to see what its all about, & to get back to me,
Im busy looking on the Sunday Mail website now, to see what I can find out.
Good Luck with Your Claim

Last night the Department for Transport confirmed that mobility scooters should be registered and urged owners to contact their local DVLA office or phone the Swansea agency on 0870 240 0010.
